Overall, the sentiment is fairly split due to the game's strong storyline, realism, and character design which attract high praise, yet it is countered by persistent technical shortcomings and a poorly optimized PC port. Reviews show enthusiasm for enhancements brought by mods, which juxtaposes against the frustrating need for them. Players who appreciate deep storytelling and immersiveness will find the narrative appealing, though patience is required to wade through optimization issues.
