Reviews for the game are overwhelmingly positive, with players appreciating its unique blend of roguelike mechanics and city-building elements. The game's charming art style and immersive soundtrack are frequently praised. However, some players express frustration with the complex mechanics and lengthy tutorial, and the game's reliance on RNG can lead to mixed experiences. Despite these criticisms, the game is generally regarded as a highly rewarding and replayable experience.

Positive Points

The game combines city building with roguelike elements, offering a fresh and unique experience.

It provides a satisfying gameplay loop, rewarding players with constant progression and new challenges.

The art style is praised for being charming, colorful, and reminiscent of classic games like Warcraft 3.

The game is highly replayable, with each run offering different buildings, resources, and challenges.

The soundtrack and ambient sound design enhance the immersive and cozy atmosphere of the game.

Negative Points

Some players find the game to be initially overwhelming due to its complex systems and mechanics.

The tutorial is criticized for being long and sometimes unhelpful, leaving some players confused.

The game's reliance on RNG for building blueprints can lead to frustration when key buildings are unavailable.

The progression and meta-progression can feel slow and grindy, especially at higher difficulties.

Some players find the game's focus on constant settlement restarts and lack of city permanence unsatisfying.

Mixed Points

The game's difficulty scales well, providing a challenge for players who seek it, but can be tough for newcomers.

The RNG elements make each run feel fresh, but can also upset players when luck is not on their side.

The game's art and sound design create a cozy atmosphere, but not all players resonate with the style.

Common Themes

Roguelike mechanics combined with city-building elements create a unique experience.

Replayability is high, driven by random challenges, resources, and build options in each run.

Progression through settlements rather than a single large city distinguishes the gameplay loop.
