Despite these criticisms, the game provides an engaging experience for those interested in exploration and atmospheric depth, particularly for fans of Lovecraftian themes.

Positive Points

Players enjoyed the balance between fishing and exploration, noting that it creates a relaxing yet intriguing gameplay loop.

The Lovecraftian horror elements are highlighted as unique and interesting, adding depth to the game without being overwhelming.

The progression system, involving upgrading the boat and uncovering new areas, is found satisfying and encourages exploration.

The game's sound design and music significantly contribute to the game's atmosphere, enhancing the overall experience.

Negative Points

Some players found the game to be repetitive and expressed that the mechanics become redundant over time.

The story is considered by some to be lackluster or not as engaging as expected, leading to a sense of disappointment for narrative-focused players.

A few reviewers mention that the game is short and not as challenging as they hoped, which might not justify its price.

Technical issues are noted, such as control problems on certain platforms, like macOS.

Mixed Points

The horror elements are seen as both intriguing and potentially underwhelming, as they initially create tension but can become normalized and less effective over time.

Replayability is a divisive topic; some find it lacking after the first playthrough while others enjoy chasing achievements.
