The general sentiment among players suggests that ASKA is a creative blend of survival and city-building that attracts those interested in Viking themes and resource management. Players appreciate the developer's active engagement and the game's potential for growth. However, there are significant issues with AI behavior and performance optimization that impact the overall enjoyment. The game's progression system can feel tedious because of the grind required to gather resources and the need for constant micromanagement. Overall, ASKA is seen as promising but still requires changes and additional content to fulfill its potential.

Positive Points

Players appreciate the blend of survival and city-building elements, with a focus on resource management and the ability to automate villagers.

The game's Viking theme and aesthetics are praised for their immersive and visually appealing design.

Updates and active engagement from developers earn the game positive feedback for improvement and addressing community feedback.

Players enjoy the variety of tasks available, from building and crafting to combat and exploration, providing a fulfilling gameplay loop.

Negative Points

Many players are frustrated by the AI issues, particularly with villagers not performing tasks as expected or needing excessive micromanagement.

Combat is often described as clunky, with some finding it unsatisfying or too simplistic compared to other aspects of the game.

The game suffers from performance issues and optimization problems, even on high-end systems, leading to crashes and poor framerate.

Resource gathering and management can feel overly grindy, with certain materials being disproportionately difficult to accumulate.

Mixed Points

While some players enjoy the large amount of content and tasks, others find the game overwhelming or tedious due to the necessary micromanagement.

The game is often compared to Valheim, with some players appreciating the differences, while others feel it doesn't live up to the comparison.

Common Themes

ASKA combines survival elements with city management, similar to games like Valheim and RimWorld, but with its own unique take.

There is praise for the game's potential and ongoing updates, though a desire for better AI and more diverse content is frequently mentioned.

Players often mention the enjoyment of watching their village grow and automate, serving as a central appeal of the game.
