The general sentiment for REANIMAL is a mix of high praise for its atmospheric and visual design and criticism for its short playtime and performance issues. Many players found it to be a hauntingly beautiful experience with stunning artistic direction and satisfying co-op gameplay, but were disappointed by the brief duration and recurring technical problems. Although the story depth is appreciated by some, others found it confusing or incomprehensible without further explanation. As a result, while the game delivers an immersive horror experience, the general consensus leans towards recommending it with reservations, especially concerning its price-to-content ratio.
