The general sentiment for 'The Casting of Frank Stone' is positive among fans of the Dead by Daylight series who appreciated the lore expansion and cinematic experience. However, the game suffers from significant performance issues and a lack of meaningful choice impact, leading to a divisive reception. While the integration of the Dead By Daylight universe is an enticing feature for some, others found the game's story lacking depth and engagement, particularly when compared to other Supermassive Games titles. For true enjoyment, a familiarity with Dead by Daylight is beneficial, but for general players, the appeal is mixed due to technical and narrative shortcomings.
