Overall, player sentiment towards Moonlighter 2 is positive, with players appreciating its improvements over the first game, especially in art style and gameplay mechanics. However, the game is marred by significant performance issues, with frequent crashes and bugs leading to frustration and lost progress. Players also voiced concerns over some of the new combat and inventory management changes being less intuitive or engaging than its predecessor. Despite these criticisms, the game’s engaging blend of shop management and roguelike dungeon crawling provides a satisfying gameplay loop for many, with the potential for a richer experience as it progresses towards full release.
