The general sentiment of the reviews indicates that while the game offers improved combat mechanics and visually impressive storytelling for fans of My Hero Academia, it is marred by significant performance issues and inadequate customization options. The story mode and gameplay changes have both admirers and detractors, suggesting that it may appeal more strongly to those deeply invested in the franchise despite its technical shortfalls.

Positive Points

The combat system is praised for being smoother and more refined compared to previous entries, offering a better flow and more satisfying interactions.

The game features a large roster with unique character designs and mechanics, which keeps gameplay fresh and engaging for fans.

Character models and animations are noted as visually impressive, with the story mode providing high-quality cutscenes that enhance the narrative experience.

The game includes a variety of single-player modes such as Team-Up Missions and an open-world section, adding depth and variety beyond standard arena fighting.

Negative Points

The game suffers from significant performance issues, with reviews mentioning lag, frame drops, and poor optimization on various systems, including high-end PCs.

Many reviewers criticize the final boss fight as being excessively difficult and unfair, leading to frustration and detracting from the overall enjoyment.

Customization options are seen as lacking compared to previous games, with fewer costumes and limited accessories, making character personalization less satisfying.

Online connectivity is frequently mentioned as problematic, with issues like frequent disconnects, poor matchmaking, and lack of crossplay, affecting multiplayer experiences.

Mixed Points

The story mode is appreciated for its quality cinematics, yet criticized for repetitive and challenging fights, leading to a mixed feeling about its execution.

Some players enjoy the new Rising mechanic, but others miss the previously cinematic Plus Ultra moves, leading to divided opinions on these gameplay changes.

While there is enthusiasm for the large character roster, some feel the removal of certain characters and features from previous games detracts from the experience.

Common Themes

Performance and optimization issues consistently emerge as major concerns among players across different platforms.

The game's combat system, while mainly praised, shows mixed reactions due to changes from the prior series entries.

Customization features are noticeably diminished, which disappoints fans expecting more personalization options akin to past games.

There is a strong connection to the My Hero Academia franchise, with many positive reviews stemming from fans of the series.
