The general sentiment is a mix of affection for the game's atmosphere and RPG depth against a backdrop of frustration due to technical issues and design choices. While the nostalgic appeal and challenging exploration are highlighted, players are eager for improvements to enhance the overall experience.

Positive Points

Many players appreciate the nostalgia and Gothic-like atmosphere of the game, particularly the open-world exploration, rewarding discovery, and detailed lore.

The RPG elements, such as faction choices and character progression, received praise for being intriguing and offering depth to player engagement.

The developers' quick action on patches and clear passion for the project are acknowledged positively, with players hopeful for future updates to improve gameplay.

Negative Points

The game is criticized for numerous technical issues, including crashing, save file corruption, and performance problems like memory leaks and stuttering.

The lack of intuitive navigation, with no available map or adequate direction for quests, frustrates many players, particularly given the protagonist's role as a cartographer.

Combat is often described as clunky or poorly executed, with issues surrounding stamina management, hitboxes, and difficulty spikes.

Mixed Points

The game’s old-school RPG style, featuring no quest markers and a focus on exploration, is appreciated by some players who enjoy the challenge, but others find it overly frustrating and time-consuming.

Voice acting and character models receive mixed feedback; while some find the voice work engaging, the lip-syncing and facial animations are often criticized.

Common Themes

A recurring theme is the comparison to older RPGs like Gothic and Risen, with many players noting both the charm and frustrations similar to those games.

The desire for more polish and fixes is a common wish among players, indicating a recognition of potential overshadowed by current technical issues.
