The overall sentiment towards NBA 2K26 is largely mixed. While some players appreciate the realistic graphics and animations and enjoy engaging modes like MyCareer and MyNBA, there is substantial frustration over the game's microtransactions, server issues, and cheating problems. The perceived lack of innovation from previous installments also contributes to the mixed reactions.

Positive Points

The game's graphics and animation are praised for being realistic and detailed.

The game's MyNBA and MyCareer modes are enjoyed by players for their depth and engagement.

Gameplay is considered smooth and fun by some players, offering a solid basketball simulation.

Negative Points

The game is heavily criticized for its microtransactions, which many players feel are predatory and make the game pay-to-win.

Server connectivity issues and frequent crashes are common complaints among players.

There are numerous mentions of cheaters and lack of effective anti-cheat measures.

Mixed Points

Players have a mixed experience with the shooting mechanics; some appreciate them, while others find them frustrating and unresponsive.

While some players enjoy the overall gameplay, others find it repetitive and too similar to previous versions of the game.

Common Themes

Many players mention the internet connectivity requirement as a significant issue, especially for modes that could be offline.

There is a strong sentiment that the series does not innovate significantly from year to year, relying on updated rosters rather than new gameplay features.

The game's reliance on VC (Virtual Currency) and its impact on game enjoyment is a frequent topic.
