Overall, the sentiment towards Kingdom Come: Deliverance is positive regarding its immersive and historically accurate setting, with many players appreciating the depth and authenticity of its medieval world. However, there are significant criticisms concerning the combat system and the frustrating save mechanics. The game's realism is both a point of praise and complaint, as it enhances immersion but also makes the game challenging for newcomers.

Positive Points

Many players praised the game's immersive medieval setting and historical accuracy, making it a unique experience compared to other RPGs.

The story is often described as engaging and deep, with rich character development and meaningful progression from a commoner to a capable warrior.

The world-building and atmosphere are frequently highlighted as standout features, with an authentic environment that feels alive and reactive to player actions.

Numerous reviews appreciate the complex mechanics, like alchemy and skill progression, which enhance the realism and immersive quality of the gameplay.

Negative Points

Combat mechanics are widely criticized for being clunky and overly complicated, making them less enjoyable, especially in multi-enemy encounters.

The saving system is often mentioned as frustrating, as players must rely on specific items or scenarios to save progress, leading to potential loss of significant gameplay time.

The game is noted for having various bugs and technical issues, some of which can disrupt the player's experience and progression, such as crashes and quest-related glitches.

Mixed Points

While the realism and historical authenticity are praised, this aspect also contributes to a steeper learning curve, which some players find off-putting.

The game's pacing is another point of contention: the slow build-up to the main story and character development is seen as immersive by some, but tedious by others.

Common Themes

Immersive medieval experience and historical setting are frequently highlighted as major strengths.

Combat system is criticized for its complexity and difficulty, especially in handling multiple enemies.

Realism and detail in world-building contribute positively to the game's atmosphere but can also lead to a challenging entry for new players.
