Despite some criticisms about movement and controls, the game is seen as a great value for its price.

Positive Points

The game offers unique and fun mechanics, such as the airdash-after-hit feature, which expands combo possibilities and allows for creativity in playstyles.

Players appreciate the fast-paced and aggressive combat, which makes the game feel engaging and action-packed.

The game is considered a good value for its price, with many players highlighting the low cost as a selling point.

Reviewers praise the potential of the modding community, with anticipation for future workshop support and custom content.

The game's stick figure animation style is nostalgic and well-received, reminding players of classic animations they enjoyed.

Negative Points

Many players report significant issues with online connectivity, including input delays, lag, and difficulty joining matches with friends.

The game lacks a tutorial or proper guidance for new players, making the learning curve steep and potentially frustrating for newcomers.

Players criticize the movement, describing it as clunky and unresponsive, particularly regarding dash mechanics.

Limited character roster and map variety at launch, with only three characters available, leaving some players wanting more variety.

Mixed Points

Some players find the absence of traditional defensive mechanics like shields and grabs refreshing, while others see it as a drawback that limits strategic depth.

The game's control scheme is debated; customization options are requested by some, while others manage with the defaults.

Opinions on character balance vary, with some players finding certain characters overpowered while others disagree.

Common Themes

The game is often compared to other platform fighters like Rivals of Aether and Smash Bros, with mixed opinions on how it stands up to these established titles.

A significant portion of the community looks forward to the addition of new characters and the potential brought by modding.

Many players are enthusiastic about the game's aesthetic and style, which successfully taps into nostalgia for stick figure animations.
