RNG issues

The general sentiment among players is that Noita is an exceptionally challenging but rewarding game. Fans of roguelikes appreciate the vast amount of content and complexity in spell crafting and exploration. However, the difficulty and lack of clear guidance, coupled with an unforgiving RNG, are significant criticisms. Despite these challenges, the sense of achievement and discovery keeps players returning, with many highlighting the game as a unique experience in the genre.

Positive Points

The game offers a vast amount of content and exploration beyond the main path, which keeps players engaged for many hours.

Wand crafting and spell customization are highly praised for their depth and complexity, allowing for unique and powerful combinations.

The game's physics-based world is praised for its interactivity and the emergent gameplay it facilitates, which feels rewarding.

Players appreciate the challenging difficulty, which enhances the sense of achievement upon progressing or completing runs.

Negative Points

The game is notoriously difficult and punishing, which can lead to frustration, especially with unexpected deaths or failures late in a run.

Many players find the lack of in-game explanations and the need to consult wikis or guides a barrier to entry.

Complaints about the game's RNG affecting runs negatively, where players feel a lack of control due to bad drops or unfavorable conditions.

Mixed Points

The steep learning curve can be both a challenge and a point of engagement for players, with some loving the persistent challenge and others feeling overwhelmed.

The mysterious and secretive nature of the game's exploration and puzzles is exciting for some, but can feel inaccessible or excessively hidden to others.

Common Themes

The game is highly challenging but rewarding, with a significant emphasis on player skill and learning from past mistakes.

Despite frequent and often humorous deaths, players are drawn back repeatedly due to the game's depth and the lure of discovering new secrets.

Spell customization and environmental interactions are central to the game's appeal, with the creativity in wand building being a standout feature.
